Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By using the Back Azimuth website, self-assessment, or any paid program, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the services. Back Azimuth is a trade name of Warrior Refuge Haven, LLC.

2. Nature of services

We provide coaching services and educational content. Coaching is not psychotherapy, medical care, or emergency crisis intervention, and it is not a substitute for care from a licensed professional. The Plot Your Position assessment is a self-reflection tool, not a diagnosis.

In an emergency or crisis, call or text 988 (veterans press 1) or your local emergency number.

3. Eligibility

You must be 18 or older to use our services.

4. Accounts and information

You agree to provide accurate information (including name and email) and to keep it up to date. You are responsible for activity that occurs through your email or account.

5. Purchases, subscriptions, and refunds

• Payments are processed by Stripe. By purchasing, you also agree to Stripe's terms.
• Prices, program contents, and schedules are described at checkout. Applicable taxes may be added.
• Subscription programs renew automatically at the interval shown at checkout until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account or by contacting us; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• Refunds are handled as described at checkout or in the program-specific agreement. Where no refund policy is stated, purchases are final except where required by law.
• Chargebacks made in bad faith may result in loss of access and collection of any amounts owed.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the services in a way that violates law or third-party rights.
• Share paid program materials with people who have not purchased access.
• Attempt to interfere with, probe, or reverse-engineer the site.
• Harass coaches, staff, or other participants.

7. Intellectual property

All content, program materials, curriculum, branding, and assessment frameworks are owned by Warrior Refuge Haven, LLC or its licensors. You receive a limited, non-transferable license to use them for your personal, non-commercial coaching purposes.

8. Disclaimers

The services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant any specific outcome from coaching.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Back Azimuth, Warrior Refuge Haven, LLC, and its affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the services will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Back Azimuth and Warrior Refuge Haven, LLC from claims arising out of your misuse of the services or breach of these Terms.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or misuse the services. You may stop using the services at any time.

12. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the state in which Warrior Refuge Haven, LLC is organized, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. The specific venue and any arbitration terms will be finalized with attorney review.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
